The dining room serves as so much more than a place to sit and sup with the family. This space also does yeoman’s duty as a homework station, family meeting place, or a quiet spot for a midnight snack.
Dining rooms come in all shapes and sizes. From tiny nooks in an apartment to dedicated rooms with a farmhouse table for 12, thoughtfully designed dining rooms serve as beautiful and super functional spaces within our homes. Today, we’re sharing some of our favorite dining rooms which feature pretty sweet handcrafted lighting as the finishing touch!
This gorgeous dining nook features shiplap walls, a custom teak-and-holly table, and plenty of natural light. These handcrafted fixtures are also customized with galvanized guards and frosted glass.

Living in western Canada, this couple created a warm, inviting kitchen with exposed brick, wood floors, and a small dining table. They added a solid copper Original™ Vented Warehouse Pendant for a final touch of character. Jim and Nobel took their 1960s-era home down to the studs to create a New York-style loft with wide-plank flooring, cement counters, rustic barn doors, and industrial-style lighting. For the dining area, they selected the Foundry 4-Light Chandelier. This rustic industrial fixture sports four cast-guard-and-glass lights, finished in Barn Red, affixed to a rugged pipe frame mounting.
With 12-foot ceilings in her dining room/kitchen space, Meaghan needed a large pendant with the ability to customize the mounting.
